I am such a fan of Google.  I use the Google Search Engine, Google Mail and Google Calendar quite frequently.  So, when I had an opportunity to look for directions to a restaurant, I used Google Maps and was amazed at the quick and accurate results that I obtained.  So, when Mrs. Nunamacher needed directions to a relative's house, I  suggested that she use Google Maps.  I guided her to the web site and had her type in the entire address for the location that she needed.  She was prompted to check as to whether it was her starting point or her destination.  She indicated that it was her destination.  She then put in her starting location when prompted and was amazed at how quickly her directions were produced.  So, if you are looking for an alternative to Yahoo Maps or Mapquest when looking for directions, give Google Maps a try.  The web address is:  maps.google.com

If you would like an explanation of Web 2.0 with its existing technologies, please read the article by Marshall Breeding published in the May issue of Computers in Libraries entitled "We Need to Go Beyond Web 2.0."  In the article, he makes a strong case for Web 2.0 representing a "springboard for whatever comes next."  This article is available via EBSCOhost.
